Speakers:

Valerie Bannert-Thurner (Ph.D.) is the Global Head of the Risk & Surveillance Solutions business at Nasdaq. She is responsible for the overall growth of the Trade Surveillance, Market Surveillance, and Risk businesses, providing market leading risk and surveillance solutions to buy side firms, broker dealers, clearing firms, exchanges, and regulators.

Valerie was recently named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Finance by Financial News.


Taras Chaban is the Global Head of Buy-side Solutions for the Risk & Surveillance business at Nasdaq. Previously, Chaban was Co-founder and CEO of recently acquired, Sybenetix. Chaban was responsible for pioneering the development of organizational behavioral analytics and leading a team of world-class experts in technology, behavioral science and finance, working with financial institutions to manage the strategic impact of behavior on operations and culture.

Myroslav Vus is the Head of Buy-Side Technology at Nasdaq. He has over 15 years of capital markets technology infrastructure expertise, including financial trading systems, and front to back office experience.
